Edit your business profile

Change your shop name, GST number, state and contact details.

Updated

Your business profile is the identity that prints on every bill — your name, address, GST number and more. You set this up when you first opened Yojika; you can change it any time in Settings under the Business profile card.

Change your details

In Settings, find the Business profile card and edit any field:

  • Business name — your shop’s name. This is required.
  • Registered for GST — turn on if your shop has a GST number.
  • GSTIN — your 15-character GST number (for example 33ABCDE1234F1Z7). Only shown when GST is on.
  • State (place of supply) — your state.
  • Phone, Email, Address — your contact details, which print on your bills.

When you are done, click Save changes.

Turning GST on or off

Use the Registered for GST switch:

  • On — your bills charge GST and print as “TAX INVOICE”. You must enter a valid GSTIN to save. Your state is set automatically from the first two digits of your GSTIN, so the state box is locked.
  • Off — your bills are plain bills with no tax. You choose your state yourself from the list. If you had a GST number before, Yojika keeps it on file for when you turn GST back on.

About your state

Your state matters for GST. When you bill a customer in your own state, the tax is split into CGST and SGST. When you bill a customer in another state, a single IGST is charged instead. Yojika works this out for you from your state and the customer’s state — you do not have to do anything.

Looking for the invoice prefix?

Bill number prefixes are no longer on this card. All of them — not just the invoice one — now sit together in Settings under Transactions, in the Document prefixes card. See How invoice numbers work.

Open Settings → Business & Tax → Business logo. Click Choose logo to select a still JPG or PNG up to 4 MB and 4096 × 4096 pixels. Yojika copies the image into its own local storage, so moving the original file will not break your logo. Replace logo chooses another image; Remove logo removes the selection. Cancelling the picker keeps the current logo.

To print it, enable Show logo under Invoices & Printing → Invoice print options, then click Save print options. Changing the image does not change that preference. Logo position is set separately under Invoice size & content; thermal receipts always centre it.

New ZIP backups include the logo and restore it with your business profile. Keep the complete ZIP file. Older database-only backups cannot carry image files. The image is local to this device: another device with no copy prints without the logo, and Settings explains that it is unavailable. Choose the image on that device or restore a complete backup to bring it across.
