Set up your shop

First-run setup — enter your business name, GST status, state and how you print bills.

Updated

The first time you open Yojika, it asks for a few details about your shop so it can start making bills for you. This is the Set up your shop screen. You can change all of these later in Settings.

Fill in your shop details

  1. Business name — the name of your shop. This is required and prints on every bill.

  2. Are you registered for GST? — turn this on only if your shop has a GST number.

    • On: your bills charge GST and print as “TAX INVOICE”. A GSTIN box appears — type your 15-character GST number (for example 33ABCDE1234F1Z7). Your state is set automatically from this number.
    • Off: your bills are plain bills with no tax. Instead of a GST number you pick Your state from the list. You can turn GST on later.
  3. How do you print bills? — choose your printer size. Most shops use a thermal receipt printer (58 mm or 80 mm). You can also choose A4 or A5 full-page. You can change this or override it on each bill later.

  4. More details (optional) — click to open and add your Phone, Email, Address and Invoice prefix (the letters before each bill number, such as INV). These are optional but the phone, email and address print on your bills, so it is worth adding them.

Finish

Click Save and continue. Yojika saves your shop and takes you to the next step — starting your free trial or entering a licence key.

Changing these later
