Recycle bin

Find records you deleted, restore the ones you need, or remove them for good.

Updated

When you delete an invoice, payment, party, item, expense, or template, it is not gone straight away — it goes to the Recycle bin. From here you can bring it back or remove it for good.

Open it from Settings > Recycle bin.

Looking for a party you hid? From this release on, Hide from list is not a delete — it only takes a party off your Parties screen, they stay in your books, and they will not be in the Recycle bin. Find them by switching the Parties list to Inactive; see Add a customer or supplier.

If you hid a party in an older version of Yojika, look here — back then hiding and deleting were the same thing, so those parties did go to the Recycle bin. Restore brings one back into your Parties list.

Find a deleted record

Use the tabs at the top to narrow the list: All, Invoices, Payments, Parties, Items, Expenses, or Templates. Each row shows the record and the date it was deleted.

Restore

Click Restore on a row to bring the record back. A couple of things to know:

  • Restoring an invoice whose customer was also deleted asks whether to restore the customer too.
  • A payment comes back with its invoice — restore the invoice first, and the payment returns with it.

Purge (remove for good)

To delete a record permanently, click the Purge permanently icon on its row and confirm. To empty the whole bin, click Purge all and confirm. Purged records cannot be restored.

If a record will not purge yet, purge the invoices or payments that use it first.
