Unlock Yojika with your passcode

What to do at the lock screen when Yojika is protected with a passcode.

Updated

If you have set a passcode, Yojika asks for it when you open the app. This page explains the lock screen. To turn a passcode on or off, see Set a passcode lock.

Unlocking

When you see Yojika is locked:

  1. Tap or click the number keys to enter your 4 to 6 digit passcode.
  2. The row of dots fills in as you type.
  3. Once you enter the full passcode, Yojika unlocks on its own and opens your Dashboard.

If you make a mistake, use the backspace key (the arrow) to clear a digit.

If the passcode is wrong

If you enter the wrong passcode, the screen shows Incorrect passcode. Try again.

After several wrong tries in a row, Yojika pauses for safety and shows “Too many attempts. Try again in 30 seconds.” Wait 30 seconds and enter the correct passcode.

If you forget your passcode

There is no way to reset a forgotten passcode. The only way to get back in is to clear the app’s data — and this deletes everything on the device. This is why you should:

  • Store your passcode somewhere safe, and
  • Keep regular backups (see Backup & restore in Settings).

If you have a recent backup, you can restore it after clearing the app.
