A sale order records a confirmed order from a customer before you deliver and bill it. You can note the expected delivery date and any advance received. Like the other pre-sale documents, it does not touch your stock, GST reports, or invoice numbers.
Sale orders have their own number series that starts with SO, for example
SO2025-26/0001.
See your sale orders
Open Sale Orders from the sidebar. Each row shows the number, date, status (Open, Converted, or Closed), and total. Tap a row to open it.
Create a sale order
- On the Sale Orders list, click New Sale Order.
- The editor opens titled Sale Order. Pick the customer.
- Add the ordered items, quantities and rates.
- Optionally set the expected delivery date, and enter an advance amount if the customer has paid one. The advance is noted only — it is printed for reference and does not record a payment.
- Click Save (Ctrl+S).
Open, edit or print
Tap a sale order to open it. From the top you can Edit it while it is Open, Print it (A4, A5 or thermal), or Delete it. The detail screen shows the delivery date and any advance received.
Turn a sale order into an invoice
When you deliver, open the order and click Convert to invoice. Yojika raises a real sale invoice with a fresh number and the same items, and opens it. The order is then marked Converted.
