Open and use Settings

Where Settings lives in Yojika and a map of everything you can change there.

Updated

Settings is where you change everything about how Yojika works for your shop — your business details, how bills look and number, security, your licence, and more. Click Settings at the bottom of the left menu to open it.

What you will find

Settings is one long page made of cards. Each card is one topic:

  • Business profile — your shop name, GST number, state, and contact details. See Edit your business profile.
  • Invoice numbering, Document prefixes, Billing type — the financial year and your next bill number, the letters in front of each number series, and whether new bills are entered inclusive or exclusive of GST. See How invoice numbers work.
  • Invoice printing, Invoice style, Invoice print options, UPI QR / payment — control how your bills look and print. See Customise your invoices.
  • Cash & Bank, Storage locations, Recycle bin — shortcuts into those parts of the app.
  • Sharing & Messages — the message text that goes with a shared bill, payment or document. Each type (sales invoice, purchase, payment in, payment out, estimate, proforma, sales order) has its own message, with a live preview against your own latest bill and a reset to the default. Placeholders like {party_name}, {number}, {amount}, {balance} and {shop_name} fill themselves in; anything else you type is sent as written.
  • Appearance — light or dark screen.
  • Backup & restore and Back up to Google Drive — keep copies of your data.
  • Passcode lock — protect the app with a PIN. See Set a passcode lock.
  • License — your plan, key and expiry. See Manage your licence and plan.
  • Refer & earn — your referral code, and a free month for every friend who buys with it. See Refer a friend and earn a month.
  • Cloud sync — use one shop across many devices (Combo plan). See Manage your licence and plan.
  • About — your app version and a shortcut to the log files. See Keep Yojika up to date.

Saving changes

Some settings save the moment you change them (like Appearance or the printing size). Others have a Save button — for example Save changes in Business profile. If a card has a Save button, your change is not kept until you click it.

Appearance (light or dark)

The Appearance card lets you pick how the app looks on screen:

  • System — match your device setting.
  • Light — a bright screen.
  • Dark — a dark screen.

This only changes what you see on screen. It does not change how your printed bills look.
