Back up your data

Save a copy of your Yojika data to a folder or USB drive, and set up automatic backups that keep the latest few.

Updated

Your Yojika data lives on this computer. A backup is a single copy of it that you can keep somewhere safe — a USB drive, another folder, or a shared drive — so nothing is lost if the computer fails.

Backup is in Settings, under Backup & restore.

Back up now

  1. Open Settings and find Backup & restore.
  2. Click Back up now.
  3. Choose the folder (or USB drive) to save into.

Yojika writes one backup file into that folder. On a phone, tap Back up now and choose where to save or send the file with the share sheet.

Automatic backups

Let Yojika back up on its own so you never forget:

  1. Under Auto-backup, turn on Schedule automatic backups.
  2. Pick how often: Daily, Weekly, or On app close.
  3. Set Keep last N backups — for example 7. Yojika keeps that many of the newest backups and deletes older ones automatically, so the folder does not fill up.

The screen shows when your last backup ran. The first time, choose the folder Yojika should save automatic backups into.

Keep a copy off the computer

A backup on the same computer does not help if that computer is lost or stolen. Save at least one backup to a USB drive, or turn on Google Drive backup for a copy in your own Google account.
