If you service what you sell — a water purifier, an inverter, an annual health check — Yojika can remind you when the next one is due, and help you tell the customer.
Open Settings → Sharing & Messages and find the Service reminders card.
Add a reminder
Click Add reminder and fill in:
- Customer — who the reminder is for.
- What is due — a short name like
Water purifier AMC. This is what you will see in the list. - Item — optional, only if the reminder is about something in your item list.
- Due — the date the service is due.
- Remind before — how many days ahead it should start showing up. Seven days is the default.
- Repeats — once, monthly, every 3 months, every 6 months, or yearly.
- Message — optional. Leave it blank and Yojika uses a standard message.
The three views
- Due — reminders that are within their lead time, due today, or overdue. The tab shows how many are overdue.
- Upcoming — everything scheduled further ahead.
- Done — one-off reminders you have completed. You can reopen one if you marked it by mistake.
Each reminder shows how far away it is in plain words — Due in 5 days, Due today, Overdue by 3 days — so you do not have to work it out from the date.
Sending a reminder
Click the ➤ button. Yojika shows you the exact message before it goes, then you choose WhatsApp or SMS.
Yojika never sends anything on its own. There is no automatic sending, no bulk “remind everyone” button, and no SMS gateway. Every message is one you have read and chosen to send. This is deliberate: bulk messaging from your own WhatsApp number risks getting it blocked, and a reminder you have not read is one you cannot stand behind.
The customer needs a phone number saved for either option to appear.
Marking one done
Click ✓ when the service is finished.
- A repeating reminder moves on to its next due date and stays in your list.
- A one-off reminder moves to the Done tab.
Repeats land on sensible dates. A reminder on the 31st goes 31 January → 29 February → 31 March → 30 April: it uses the last day of the month when the 31st does not exist, and then goes back to the 31st. It never drifts earlier. A reminder set for 29 February repeats on 28 February in ordinary years and returns to the 29th in the next leap year.
Pausing
Click ⏸ to pause a reminder. It keeps its date and its schedule, and stops counting as overdue — useful when a customer is away or a machine is out of service. It stays in the list, greyed with a Paused label, so you can find it again. Click ▶ to bring it back.
Your message
Leave the message blank for the standard text, or write your own using:
{party_name} {title} {item_name} {due_date} {shop_name}
Anything else in curly brackets is left exactly as you typed it, so a typo shows up in the preview instead of disappearing.
Deleting a customer
Deleting a customer also removes their service reminders. Restoring the customer from the Recycle Bin brings those reminders back — but not any you had deleted yourself beforehand.
Using more than one device
Service reminders stay on the device you created them on — they are not shared by Cloud Sync. If you use Yojika on both a computer and a phone, set up each reminder where you will act on it.
