A delivery challan goes with goods that are dispatched before you raise the tax invoice. It lists what is being sent and, if you like, the vehicle it went in. It does not touch your stock, GST reports, or invoice numbers.
Delivery challans have their own number series that starts with DC, for
example DC2025-26/0001.
See your challans
Open Delivery Challans from the sidebar. Each row shows the number, date, status (Open, Converted, or Closed), and total. Tap a row to open it.
The strip at the bottom shows three figures side by side: Total (what the challans in view come to), Converted (how much has already become a real document) and Open (how much is still live). Converted + Open = Total.
The status chip filters the rows; it does not re-add the money. The strip covers everything the date range and the search box let through, whichever status chip is selected. When the chip is hiding rows the count says so, reading “3 of 12 delivery challans”.
Create a delivery challan
- On the Delivery Challans list, click New Delivery Challan.
- The editor opens titled Delivery Challan. Pick the customer.
- Add the items being sent.
- If goods are going by vehicle, fill in the vehicle number (for example
TN01AB1234) and any transport details. - Click Save (Ctrl+S).
Print with or without prices
Tap a challan and click Print. On the preview, a Show Amounts / Hide Amounts chip lets you print the challan without prices — handy when you only want to send a list of goods. Choose the paper size (A4, A5 or a thermal width) as usual.
You can also Edit an open challan or Delete it from the detail screen.
Turn a challan into an invoice
Open the challan and click Convert to invoice. Yojika raises a real sale invoice with a fresh number and the same items. The challan is then marked Converted.
