Keep Yojika up to date

How the update prompt works on Windows and how to check your app version.

Updated

Yojika gets better over time with new versions. On a Windows computer, the app tells you when a newer version is ready. This page explains that prompt and where to see your current version.

When an update is available

On Windows, the next time you open Yojika after a new version comes out, a box appears titled Update available. It tells you which version is ready and what is new.

You have two choices:

  • Download — opens the download page in your web browser. Save the installer, then run it. It upgrades Yojika in place, and your data is kept — nothing is lost.
  • Later — closes the box for now. The reminder comes back the next time you open the app.

After you run the new installer, open Yojika again and you are on the latest version.

Note: Yojika does not update silently in the background. You always choose when to download and install, so an update never interrupts your billing.

On Android

The Android app updates through the Google Play Store, like your other phone apps — there is no in-app update box.

Check your version

To see which version you are running, open Settings and scroll to the About card. It shows Yojika and your version number, for example v1.3.0.

You can also click the help (?) button at the top of the window to see the same version.

Open the logs folder

The About card also has an Open logs folder button. You normally never need this, but if support ever asks for your log files to look into a problem, this is where to find them.
